The Christmas Tag

I've never done a tag post on my blog before, so I thought that it was about time for me to do one! What better one to start with than: The Christmas Tag?

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?

This is one of the most difficult questions ever to answer! If you read my post the other day about my favourite Christmas films, you will know that I couldn't decide on an order. If I had to narrow it down to three.. I would probably have to say Elf, Home Alone and the Grinch (typical I know)!
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?

Christmas Morning. Ever since I was little, it's been a tradition to run downstairs to see if Santa has come; then my Sister and I would take our presents upstairs to open in our parents room.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

Yes, my favourite Christmas memory was a trip to Lapland when I was probably about 6 or 7 with my family. I remember eating gingerbread with Mrs Claus, Reindeer rides, Tobogganing and of course seeing Santa himself.

Cue a photo of little me in Lapland!
4. Favourite festive food?

This is also a difficult one! Hmm.. I would probably have to say the sausages wrapped in bacon, or as they're more commonly known: Pigs in Blankets. This is because the only time of year our family eat them is during Christmas and so they are a long awaited favourite!

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

I don't think I can think of one particular gift, as each year seems better than the last. I have always been really lucky growing up during Christmas and I appreciate every Christmas gift I have ever received.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?

Growing up my favourite Christmas scent has always been of Terry's Chocolate Orange, seeing as we had one literally every year of Christmas that I remember! But currently, I would say my favourite festive scent is Yankee Candle's Savour the Season. This is because it reminds me so much of the trip to Lapland I talked about in question 3, so it brings back tons of memories!

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Every year on Christmas Eve, my family and I sit around the TV with blankets in our christmas pyjamas (if we have them that year) and watch Christmas movies. Usually our pick is Polar Express and then we eat chocolate and other festive treats. When I was younger we would also put out a mince pie and milk out for Santa, and a carrot out for Rudolph and the other Reindeer.

8. What tops your Christmas tree?

Each year the decoration on the top of our Christmas tree changes. We have two decorations that we alternate between, one being a star (my favourite one) and the other being an angel; this year however, it is the turn of the angel.

9. As a kid, what was the one gift you always asked for but never received?

When I was younger, I asked for these mermaid toys that you could play with in the bath; their hair even changed colour and everything. I was really hoping that Santa would bring them for me.; he never did and instead bought them for my sister! But I suppose it didn't matter too much as I could also play with them too.

10. What's the best part of Christmas for you?

I love Christmas for the fact that it is like the saying "the most wonderful time of the year", everyone is generally much happier and I love spending the day with my family. I also particularly love the build up to Christmas and the excitement that the whole holiday brings!

Thank you for reading! I tag any other lovely bloggers who would also like to do this tag,
