5 Lush Bath Bombs - Summer 2015

It is no secret that I'm a huge Lush fan, they are my go-to body cosmetic company and I really can't get enough of their products! As my collection was beginning to run low; I decided it was time to take a trip to my local Lush store. I wanted to share my opinions on the bath bombs I had picked up with you.

The Frozen Bath Bomb
I was really excited as they had loads of new products; so I picked up the few bits that most caught my eyes (and my nose) the most! The first thing I got was the Frozen bath bomb. Retailed at £3.95, this two-toned blue bath bomb definitely goes hand in hand with the Disney film under the same name. As soon as it hit the water I could see why it got it's name; the bath bomb looks amazing, smells incredible and fills your bath with tons of silver glitter. I really can't say enough good things about this, it's definitely a bath fit for Queen Elsa herself and one of my favourites!

Ingredients - Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Grapefruit Oil, Neroli Oil, Rose Oil, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Lilial, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Snowflake Lustre, Silver Glimmer Lustre, Colour 42090 and Colour 42053.

The Experimenter Bath Bomb
The second thing I picked up was the Experimenter bath bomb. This bath bomb has a strong scent, and vibrant colours (of pink, blue, purple, orange, yellow and white) which in the bath swirl together to create an impressive, long-lasting, multicolour display. This bath bomb also includes popping candy which makes it crackle, which adds to the "bath time motion picture" as described by Lush (which they've got spot on). This bath bomb is a steal at £3.95. However, the only downside to this product was that once display of colours had ended, you are left with a greyish/brown colour which isn't the prettiest colour and isn't half as nice to look at. But, overall (due to the colours) it's truly an amazing bath bomb and is so different to what Lush have created before.

Ingredients - Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Popping Candy, Vetivert Oil, Tonka Absolute, Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Cream of Tartar, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Coumarin, Limonene, Eugenol, Linalool, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Tin Ocide, Gold Glimmer Lustre, Colour 42090, Colour 45410 and Colour 45350.

The Intergalactic Bath Bomb
Also, I chose the Intergalactic bath bomb, also retailing at £3.95. I was recommended this by a few of my friends and so I knew this was one to get my hands on. I was immediately drawn to the swirl of colours round it's middle, and it's fresh peppermint scent mixes well with the citrus twist from the Grapefruit Oil. This gives it a perfect refreshing summer fragrance. It also appealed to me because it's filled with popping candy, much like the space girl bath bomb; this makes your bath crackle which definitely sets it apart from some of the other bath bombs.  I loved the colours that it made in the water; this was because it began with blue, then shades of pink, yellow and purple came out. You are left with a dark blue colour, which with the glitter, makes it look like a night sky with millions of glitter stars. The glitter also doesn't stick to you coming out of the water, which is always a positive! This is now one of my favourite bath bombs I've ever had from Lush!

Ingredients - Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Popping Candy, Perfume, Cream of Tartar, Water (Aqua), Peppermint Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Vetivert Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Limonene, Linalool, Snowflake Lustre, Lemon Ice Lustre, Gold Glimmer Lustre, Colour 42090 and Colour 45410.

The Yoga Bath Bomb

Next I picked up the Yoga Bomb, the man in the shop said this was his favourite because of the scent. Using this product I had to agree; this was because of the floral/woody kick to the bath bomb which gives it a nice calming, homely and relaxing fragrance. In the bath, it was their slowest fizzing bath bomb lasting roughly 10-15 minutes, creating a warm orange colour with gold glitter and little swirls of blue, purple and green as it went. It made my skin feel super hydrated and soft, and the Olibanum Oil in it tones the skin as you lay back and relax. For £3.95 this bath bomb definitely hasn't disappointed, it was a great calming bath product which would be perfect right before bed when you're stressed and need to relax.

Ingredients - Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Cream of Tartar, Cassie Absolute, Olibanum Oil, Ho Wood Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Benzyl Benzoate, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Snowflake Lustre, Frosty Holly Lustre, Gold Glimmer Lustre, Colour 45410, Colour 42090 and Colour 15985.

The Skydancer Bath Bomb
Lastly I chose the Skydancer bath bomb, it's retailed at £3.95 and is a charity product that helps to fund the equipment needed to tag endangered hen harrier chicks. I love the smell of this product, it's  such an unusual combination with the liquorish and citrus scents, but I have to say it works perfectly! The yellow part of the bath bomb melted away first, creating a strong yellow coloured bath. The bird was left behind making it look like it's flying, which is a lovely effect. Not only does this product make your skin feel good, it's a lovely smelling one and makes your conscience feel good for helping charity.

Ingredients - Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Water (Aqua), Bergamot Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lauryl Betaine, Benzyl Benzoate, Lilial, Eugenol, Limonene, Perfume, Potassium Aluminium Silicate, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Colour 47005, Colour 42053 and Colour 420902.

I hope you enjoyed reading about some of the new products, let me know your favourites in the comments below!
